Your Guide to Taipei!

Welcome to Taipei.

This guide is very near and dear to me as I write this fresh off a recent trip to see my grandmother.

However, I will admit this review is far too limited as it only focuses on Taipei and my experiences over the last year visiting. I’ll continue to add to this as I hear about new gems, and if you’re to go to Taiwan for over 3 days, definitely explore other parts of the country!

Your Must Eat Taiwanese Food.

Xiao Long Bao

There is nothing as comforting as a good soup dumpling. The gold standard is at Din Tai Fung, with 12 thin perfectly crimped dumpling edges. It is beyond delicious and a must have while you’re in Taipei!

Boba

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Pineapple Cakes

One of my favorites for an afternoon snack, pineapple cakes are soft and chewy pineapple gelatin, surrounded by a flaky buttery crust. They are divine.

Scallion Pancake with Egg

Introducing the best breakfast in Taiwan, (followed by Fan Tuan). This is undeniably delicious, a crispy scallion pancake which is flatbread in its best form, enveloping a crispy egg. Can take it on the road wherever you’re headed in Taiwan

Snow Ice

This is not like your Hawaiin Shaved Ice. It’s smoother, softer, and unbelievably satisfying with a little condensed milk and fruit on top!

Fan Tuan

Baso aka crispy pork floss, next to a fried curler, all surrounded by rice. This is what dreams are made of folks.

Stinky Tofu

Unforunately, stinky tofu makes the list. This is a Taiwanese staple and while it smells absolutely repulsive, the taste is silky smooth. Still, not one of my personal favorites

Beef Noodle Soup

Introducing Taiwan's national dish, featuring tender beef, flavorful broth, and the perfect chewy noodles. Perfection.

Oyster Omelette

A classic omelette made with fresh oysters and sweet potato starch, topped with a savory sauce.
